High-Fiving Trees

Summer in the UP is incredible and also just bonkers. As soon as the switch flips to warm weather in June, there's this manic rush to do-all-the-things before fall returns in a couple months. It's a ton of fun, and completely unsustainable, which is why we all sink into the slowing-down as the leaves change.
On my morning walks, there are a few trees that seem to "reach" out over the road, just begging for a high-five, which I typically deliver. It's a small way of acknowledging that even though we're in completely different kingdoms of life on this planet, we're both here, at this time, in this place, which is pretty cool.
Ink on Paper
I've been trying to figure out tree ring prints for months before finally getting a hang for the technique. More to come!

Upcoming Events
I'll be at the Outback this weekend! I believe the times are 10-6 on Saturday, and 10-5 on Sunday. I'll post my booth location on Instagram, once I get set up.
Other Rambles
My kids got me hooked on Pokemon Go, which, like high-fiving trees, is another way to interact with the world around you in ways you wouldn't normally, asking yourself "what else is here that I'm not aware of?"
See you out there,
PB
